A free walking tour highlighting the architecture of Hugo Du Rietz, commencing at Gympie Regional Gallery and concluding with a celebratory morning tea to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the School of Arts.🏦 Take part in a 45-minute historical walking tour of upper Mary Street, led by the Local History Officer from Gympie Regional Libraries. You’ll explore stunning heritage architecture that was built to inspire and uncover the story of the man behind it all – Hugo Du Rietz.
🎂 After the tour, return to the gallery for a short presentation on the history of the School of Arts.
For those who would prefer to skip the walking tour, meet at 9.45am to hear more about the School of Arts building followed by a free morning tea at the Gympie Regional Gallery.
Option 1: 9am – 10.30am includes full walking tour (approx. 45min), followed by morning tea at the Gallery.
Option 2: 9.45 – 10.30am short presentation on the School of Arts, followed by morning tea.
Everyone is welcome to attend this free event, however bookings are required via TryBooking for catering purposes.
