About this Event
Welcome to the "Building The Nuclear Texas Network" panel and networking event series. This circuit of events aims to educate the public and build grassroots support for nuclear energy in the Lone Star State. This incredible event is brought to you by a partnership between the Texas Nuclear Alliance(TNA) and the American Conservation Coalition(ACC). It is one of five networking and panel events around nuclear energy in Texas.
Join us for the third event in the series with our nuclear panel and social at Texas A&M University in College Station. Home to Nuclear Energy Science Center, which holds one of two test reactors in the state of Texas. The Texas A&M system has a long history of leadership on advancing nuclear technology. Our panel of experts, researchers, and lawmakers will speak about what needs to be done to continue this leadership for A&M and our state. Read below to see more information about the host organizations.
The Texas Nuclear Alliance is the only industry association in Texas dedicated to the advancement of nuclear technology in the state. TNA was formed with a singular mission: to make Texas the Nuclear Capital of the World. Formed in 2022 in the aftermath of Winter Storm Uri, TNA is based on the fundamental premise that if Texas and the world want low-carbon, reliable energy, it can no longer turn its back on nuclear energy. Nuclear is clean, safe, reliable, and secure. TNA is hosting the inaugural Texas Nuclear Summit this November in Austin, TX. More information regarding tickets, sponsorship, and speakers can be found at www.nucleartexas.com.
The American Conservation Coalition (ACC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing young people around environmental action through common-sense, pro-innovation, and limited-government principles. ACC was founded in 2017 by a group of young conservatives who wanted to fill the ideological gap in the environmental movement that was preventing effective, durable action. ACC currently has a chapter at TAMU that works to organize environmental service projects and educate the public on market-based environmentalism policies. You can join at acc.eco/membership
