About this Event
Tenant organizing has played a critical role in advancing housing protections and strengthening communities across Connecticut. Join us to explore the lessons learned, challenges faced, and victories achieved through tenant organizing and how these efforts are key to shaping policy priorities and achieving protections for the 33% of CT residents who are renters. Featuring leaders from the Connecticut Tenants Union and other advocates, this event will examine how collective action has shaped housing policy in our state—and why tenant organizing remains a powerful tool for advancing stable, healthy, and affordable communities.
Participants will learn:
- The history and evolution of tenant organizing in Connecticut
- How the CT Tenants Union is organizing across different communities today
- How individuals and organizations can engage constructively in tenant-led advocacy
Whether you are a tenant, policymaker, advocate, or community partner, this event will offer practical insight into how collective advocacy can drive meaningful changes to CT’s housing challenges.
Light breakfast will be served!
