The Building Safety Act 2022 marked a decisive shift for the built environment in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire. Dame Judith Hackitt’s report called for systemic cultural change across the industry.
While skills, knowledge and experience have long underpinned competence, the Act places new emphasis on the need to develop and demonstrate behavioural competence. Central to this is how duty holders communicate throughout the building lifecycle.
At present, most organisations cannot clearly evidence how safety-critical decisions are communicated across duty holders. That gap represents a material risk.
This interactive session focuses on closing that gap. It examines how safety-critical decisions are actually communicated in practice and introduces practical tools you can apply within your own organisation.
