Building Romance Deconstruction
About this Event
You've hung things, wired things, patched things. Now it's time to take things apart. In this finale to the inaugural Building Romance series, you and a partner will learn careful deconstruction: how to remove materials without wrecking what's around them, what's actually inside your walls, and where those materials can go after they come down.
What We’ll Cover
🔩 Safely remove wall fixtures, outlets, and switch plates without damaging surrounding materials
🧱 Identify what's behind your walls — studs, wiring, and insulation — and why it matters
♻️ Recognize which salvaged materials can be reused, donated, or recycled instead of landfilled
🏚️ Use the right tools to demo cleanly and minimize damage
Come Prepared
No experience needed — all skill levels and backgrounds welcome! This session stands alone; you don't need to have attended any previous Building Romance events.
