Building Resilience Through Community Action - a journey through common community spaces
Communities are often at the receiving end of many growing challenges affecting quality of life and yet, they have influential power to shape the future its members desire. Communities with strong social bonds and connection are not only happier, but more resilient, safer, and better equipped to handle challenges.
Join us for a FREE afternoon event that takes you on the Braeside community journey to build climate resilience into our story.
This event includes:
· An interactive presentation exploring the meaning of community resilience with the audience and showcasing initiatives in the social, natural and built spaces.
· A panel of community leads and partners will be on hand to take you through a display of plans, activities and models in a collaborative discussion about what’s possible.
· A guided walking tour of our ecosystem sanctuary, designed to be a calming nature space for residents to gather, engage and learn about resilience practices they can adopt.
