About this Event

Join the Cooper Foundation on November 12th from 5:00 - 7:30pm for a free training on nonprofit board governance. Doors open at 4:45pm. A light meal will be provided. SPACE IS LIMITED TO 50 ATTENDEES.

This training is intended for new board members, current board members, community members who are considering joining a nonprofit governance board, or nonprofit professionals wanting to learn more about nonprofit governing boards.

The presentation by Felicia Goodman, Executive Director of Cooper Foundation, will include the following:

  • Legal Duties & Basic Responsibilities of Nonprofit Board Members
  • Building a Great Board
  • Trends in Board Structure for Leading Organizations

Schedule:

  • 4:45 pm - Doors open for networking and dinner
  • 5:30 pm - Program begins
  • 7:30 pm - Program concludes

Additional Details:

Handouts will be provided at the training. This training will be offered 3-4x each year so that nonprofit boards can ensure that new board members are trained in board governance.
