Building Education/Industry Bridge to Internships

GoCyber Collective and Sinclair College are building bridges to connect education and industry.

You are invited to participate in a regional collaboration focused on strengthening work-based learning opportunities across IT, computer science, data analytics, software development, cybersecurity, network engineering, related fields/programs. Work-based learning can include job-shadowing, internships, pre-apprenticeships, apprenticeships, & more!

This group will bring together educators, employers, and workforce partners to identify challenges, share insights, and develop practical solutions that:

• Expand opportunities for students
• Strengthen employer talent pipelines
• Align education with current industry needs

We plan to meet on a quarterly basis to discuss ongoing barriers, emerging trends, and actionable strategies that support both student success and workforce development.

Purpose of the second Meeting

• Identify key gaps between education and industry
• Discuss current hiring needs and skill shortages
• Explore opportunities for internships, apprenticeships, and project-based learning

Who Should Attend

• Employers in technology-related fields
• Education partners (K-12, career tech, higher education)

• Workforce and economic development professionals
