Mike Moseley
Mike is a professional Mechanical Engineer with 30 years of experience in the construction products industry. He has worked in many areas of the business from design engineering, product development, sales and marketing and education and training. Some of his key product involvements included polymer insulators used on Southern regions 3rd rail system, solar thermal and waste heat storage systems, and ground source energy from tunnels.
Developing innovation in the construction industry is key to the future growth and strength of the UK construction. Since joining the Knowledge Transfer Network, part of the Innovate UK family, Mike has been responsible for a range of projects in the construction industry, including encouraging innovation in the built environment, digital construction and part of KTN's team at i3P (Infrastructure, Industry Innovation Portal) the successor the Crossrail’s Innovate 18 program, facilitating collaborative innovation across the infrastructure industry.
Dr David Barnard-Wills
David connects futures and tech research to commercial services, creating sustainable pathways from R&D to AI innovation and implementation with Trilateral Research, a leading ethical AI company. David is an experienced interdisciplinary research lead. At Trilateral, he has led applied technology development projects, where he contributed policy and regulatory knowledge, privacy- and ethics-by-design, technology foresight and data management. He has also led projects on cyber conflict, international collaboration between regulatory authorities, data protection training, and SME experiences with the GDPR and generative AI.
David has a PhD in the politics of ID systems from the University of Nottingham, and an MA in Political Science with a research methods specialism, and BA in Politics. He has previously been a Research Fellow in the Department of Informatics and Systems Engineering at Cranfield University, the School of Politics and International Relations at the University of Birmingham, and the UK’s Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology.
