Join us for an inspiring event that’s all about making a difference in the lives of children and families in our Vermont communities. This is your chance to be part of a dynamic conversation, connect with passionate individuals, and explore actionable ways to support early childhood development. The event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, 100 State Street, Montpelier, VT

We are delighted to welcome Jessica Lahey as our keynote speaker. Jessica is a celebrated teacher, writer, and mother whose work focuses on education, parenting, and child welfare. She has written for The Atlantic, Vermont Public Radio, and The New York Times, and is the author of the New York Times bestseller, The Gift of Failure.

The afternoon will consist of a panel discussion with statewide experts. Moderated by Kerri Douquette - Hoffman - AHS Field Services Director for Addison and Chittenden County

Through insightful discussions and collaborative sessions, we aim to:

• Raise awareness of the effects of substance misuse on children and families
• Gain valuable knowledge from experts and individuals with lived experiences
• Access tools to break cycles of addiction and trauma, fostering supportive environments
• Strengthen connections among partners and professionals working to address these challenges
