Building Bridges Garden Club: Growing Mushrooms Indoors

Our Garden Club makes a special visit to Ward 8's very own thriving indoor mushroom farm--Eightfold Farm. Owner, JR Hines, will show us how he grows oyster, lions mane, chestnut mushrooms and more all year.
If you've ever been curious about growing mushrooms at home, this is the place to visit!
This is the 11th event in our Building Bridges Garden Club series. You don’t need to have come to any of our previous events to enjoy this one.
This is a free club for gardeners and soon-to-be gardeners (even if you’re just growing on your windowsill) in Ward 8 (and elsewhere) to meet each other, get your hands dirty, learn some tricks, and have fun. Everyone is welcome.
The event will be mostly indoors and we will continue the workshop rain or shine. Please dress in layers so that you can be comfortable both outdoors and in.
