Building Bridges Garden Club: Conquer Weeds (workshop 3)

If you're new to growing plants, you probably have a lot of questions.

• Are these the leaves of the plant I just seeded? Or is it a W**d?
• Am I watering often enough or too much?
• When will I see my first... (radish, pea, onion, tomato)?
• What do I do next?

We're here to answer your questions! We'll spend the morning walking around THEARC Farm's garden beds and look at common weeds, talk about signs of success and signs of problems, and check out what our plants look like at this stage so you can compare.

This third event in the series will be guided by Fred KIMANI Anku Kenner of Gardening and Beats. You don't need to have come to any of our previous events to enjoy this one.

We'll make sure you leave with some seeds and ideas for what to do at home. If you send us questions or requests in advance, we can make sure we discuss your issue or help you get your plants started off right.

This is a free club for gardeners and soon-to-be gardeners (even if you’re just growing on your windowsill) in Ward 8 to meet each other, get your hands dirty, learn some tricks, get some free plants, and have fun.

Be sure to register! If foul weather is in the forecast, check the email you used for registration to see if we need to change our plans. The event will be outdoors. Please dress in clothes that will keep you comfortable and you don’t mind getting dirty.
