This powerful exhibition highlights the remarkable craftsmanship emerging from the New Hampshire Furniture Masters’ Prison Outreach Program – an initiative that cultivates woodworking skills, self-esteem, and a sense of community among incarcerated individuals.This panel brings together artists, educators, and community leaders whose work sits at the intersection of creativity, equity, and social impact. Panelists include:
Leah Woods, artist, lead instructor, and co-developer of the Prison Outreach Program (POP) for women at the New Hampshire Correctional Facility for Women in Concord
Lynn Szymanski, artist, lead instructor, and co-developer of the POP for women at the New Hampshire Correctional Facility for Women in Concord
Howard Hatch, artist, lead instructor, and co-founder of the POP for men at Maine State Prison
Lee Perlman, Co-Director of TEJI (The Educational Justice Institute at MIT)
