Building Bridges: Between PD Research and Institutional Practice

This year’s symposium aims to nurture the connectivity between cultural organizations and the artistic and creative work within the Professional Doctorate Arts+Creative doctoral program. The event invites cultural organizations into the doctoral program to discuss: how can Professional Doctorate research connect to and compliment research conducted and facilitated by cultural organizations? How can these bridges be built to strengthen the art and design research infrastructure as a whole?

Following a closed morning programme (by invitation), we welcome you to Melly Rotterdam where we start by having lunch together. After a welcome and opening statement by Rosa de Graaf, curator at Kunstinstituut Melly, we will host two rounds of parallel sessions, co-programming with BAK, Jan van Eyck Academie, Metro54 and V2_. The day concludes with a reflection and drinks.
