About this Event
Building Bridges 2026 – STEM Program for Girls & Moms
Empowering the Next Generation of Latina Girls in STEM
Building Bridges is an 8-week STEM mentorship program created by Mujeres Omega Foundation for Latina girls (ages 8–15) and their mothers or caregivers.
Through hands-on learning, mentorship, and collaboration, girls explore STEM in a supportive, culturally responsive environment — while strengthening the mother–daughter bond.
Program Details
Dates: March 7 – April 25, 2026
Time: Saturdays | 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM - Arrive by 12:15 PM
Location: Terwillegar Recreation Centre
Participants: 20 girls + moms/guardians
Duration: 8 consecutive weeks
Important:
This Eventbrite registration covers the FULL 8-WEEK PROGRAM.
There is only one registration, and families are expected to attend all sessions.

The 2026 program is structured using the Catalyst Workbook for Girls in STEM, supporting guided learning and reflection throughout the program.
Who Can Participate
- Latina girls ages 8–15
- Mothers or caregivers committed to participating alongside their child
- No prior STEM experience required
Just curiosity, commitment, and willingness to learn together.
