Building Bosses
About this Event
Big ideas start with everyday problems—and the confidence to solve them! 💡
Join The Black Girl Agenda, in partnership with Latoya Johnson and nonprofit Inspiring Minds Philadelphia, for Building Bosses, a hands-on Mommy and Me workshop exploring financial literacy and entrepreneurship through skincare product development.
Moms and children will learn how to turn an idea into a business while creating, collaborating, and building confidence together.
What to expect:
- Money fundamentals with Leslie Reis: Explore how money works, including business costs, pricing, saving, and profit.
- Hands-on product development with Latoya Johnson: Identify a customer’s problem and develop a skincare product concept that offers a solution.
- Shark Tank style showcase: Cheer on 1–2 groups as they pitch their concepts to a supportive panel of “sharks.”
This experience is rooted in problem-solving, helping children and their moms connect creativity with practical money skills.
