Join us for a half-day skills-based event designed to equip small-scale farmers with practical financial tools to manage a successful operation in the city.
We’ll discuss business plan development, reviewing key financial statements, and interpreting financial performance. Our presenters include representatives from the Pennsylvania Small Business Development Center, Penn State Extension, Philadelphia Farm Service Agency, Horizon Farm Credit, and Pasa Sustainable Agriculture.
A panel of Philly and Delaware-based farmers will share their best practices for managing finances on their own operation, including: Megan Storm of Storm Crow Farm, Elise Hanks of Terra Luna Herbals, Evelyn Langley of Dirtbaby Farm, Tyler Case of Mycopolitan Mushroom Company, and Taieshia Hyacinth of Caribe Locavore Farm.
This event is geared towards beginning farmers and seasoned farmers, for-profit and nonprofit entities, those in between, and those interested in brushing up on their financial skills.
Bring your questions and come ready to dig in, network, and share a meal with fellow growers!
