About this Event
The month of August highlights Black-owned businesses and entrepreneurship, but as many aspiring entrepreneurs know, building and sustaining a small business can be difficult.
On Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Miami Herald is hosting “Building Black Businesses,” an event meant to equip small business owners and aspiring business owners in South Florida’s Black community with actionable advice. The panel discussion, moderated by Miami Herald minority business reporter Michael Butler, will address how entrepreneurs can fund, market and grow their businesses.
The panel will include:
- G. Eric Knowles, president and CEO of the Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce
- Suzan McDowell, founder of Circle of One Marketing
- Aamir Taylor, founder of Italian Vice
