Carl Clemetson is a Minot entrepreneur. Since 2009, his businesses have been built on one belief: Minot Deserves Better. That conviction, rooted in his Christian faith and a calling to serve, is the foundation behind everything he has built.
He is the founder of Hometown Elegance Event Catering and Productions, Minot's first non-restaurant catering company serving North Dakota from Grand Forks to Williston, and Bismarck to the Peace Gardens, and has operated Regency Event Center since 2023, with a third venture, an Airbnb-style photography studio opening this fall. Carl focuses on the events that matter: new families created at a wedding, a new business opening its doors, or a new start to life through his support of North Dakota Adult & Teen Challenge.
Carl's work extends well beyond Minot. From 2011 to 2018 he served on the national CaterSource Education Team, taking the stage at the conference three times, before being part of the national lobbying effort to support the events industry during COVID and becoming Minot's first graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses national program. He is also building a software platform for the professional events industry with a national launch targeted for late 2027. All of it in the pursuit of one simple belief: Minot Deserves Better.
