UTC-04:00Location
Calabrese Arts | Kennett Square, PA
Learn and refine basic skills for dancing Argentine tango: Walking with a partner. The embrace. Forward, back and side steps. Lead and follow technique. Stepping with energy. Navigating the dance floor. Common step patterns and embellishments.
Then practice your skills in a low-stress, social dance-like environment each week. This is a great way to gain experience with a variety of partners and music, build muscle memory and improve your dance. Instructors available for feedback.
Abby Millager and André Baarsma have been Argentine tango partners for 14 years and have studied with maestros in the United States and in Argentina. They founded the Tango Prohibido group in 2014 as a way to share their passion for the dance. Their primary goal is to give students the tools they need to enjoy Argentine tango social dances (aka milongas).
