As part of Heritage Open Days, we will be open with a free exhibition at Exeter Community Centre!11am-4pm on 12th and 13th September - "Building and Re-Building the Body"
We've worked with our University of Exeter interns to co-curate a small exhibition, exploring how our bodies are seen, understood, and repaired. With a bit of a twist on this year's 'Architecture' theme, join us to chat and see displays of items from the collection created by our volunteers.
How have we learned to understand the body, and how has it been taught throughout the years? How do we rebuild ourselves?
We'll have post-mortem kits, the earliest xray tubes used in Exeter, orthopaedic supports including the innovative Exeter Hip, and delicate surgical instruments.
