About this Event
Reenactor Scott Lance practices historic carpentry and the Old Millstone Forge Association demonstrates blacksmithing on the grounds of the Wallace House. Interactive exhibits introduce the traditional techniques and sustainable materials including oak and pine, earth and flax, cedar and stone used in the construction of the Wallace House 250 years ago and in the rehabilitation of the Wallace House underway today.
🎶 2 p.m. Historical musician and balladeer Linda Russell presents Songs of Nature and the Land from the American Revolution to the environmental movement.
🌳 3 p.m. Somerville Environmental Commission celebrates the planting of the Borough of Somerville’s seedling of New Jersey’s Salem Oak.
