Building a Case for Support (funding)

Who should attend:

This course is aimed at those who are new to Community Fundraising or those who have some Community Fundraising experience but wish to refresh their knowledge or further refine their skills.

Overview:

This course will provide some techniques and guidelines to enable groups & organisations to maximise fundraising opportunities. This course will cover:

• How to organise fundraising events
• what legal boundaries are there for fundraising?
• How can sponsorships and legacies support your fundraising
• The principles of writing funding bids, including terminology
• How to utilise crowdfunding websites

This accredited free training is supported by Shropshire Council and Funded by Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) and managed by the Voluntary & Community Support Team at Community Resource. This free online training is to support community groups, voluntarily organisations and volunteers (within Shropshire only). Please note this training is only available to volunteers and organisations within Shropshire UK. Please do not book onto this course if you are not volunteering or working within Shropshire UK as your registration will be cancelled/removed. Additional training including ‘in person training’ will be offered throughout the year. So please keep looking at our training opportunities which will be available through eventrbrite.

This training will be delivered in person by an accredited trainer in a classroom setting. Booking is essential and only confirmed ticket holders will be admitted on the day. Once you have successfully booked onto your chosen free course. You will be emailed a few days before the training date, to give you further training details and to confirm your booking number.

We do offer a waiting list facility. So, if you are unable to attend, please could you let us know as soon as possible via email so we can then offer your free place to someone else.
