Every paddler has a unique and personal experience with nature. Enhance that experience with a paddle you build yourself.
Throughout this individually scheduled workshop, emphasis will be placed on craftsmanship, attention to detail, the beauty of the wood, and the importance of precision angles to achieve a paddle that not only performs flawlessly on the water but also fits you perfectly and reflects your individual style. You select the wood varieties that speak to you.
Instructor Jeff Bach of Quiet Water Paddles has been building paddles as well as his own amazing variety of stand-up paddle boards for years. In this workshop, he combines his love and history of paddling and river guiding in the Northwest with his love of woodworking.
This class is scheduled individually with the instructor. The first session will be 3-4 hours in length. Subsequent sessions will vary in length depending on the task to be accomplished. Anticipate 3-5 subsequent sessions depending on how much you want to complete yourself or how much you would like the instructor to complete. Once you register, we will call to schedule your first session. There you will learn about follow-up classes and scheduling.
$210 includes all materials & instruction for 1 canoe paddle. Kayak paddles are $300 and paddle-board styles are $250.
