Build Trap started in a spare room of a downtown Vancouver apartment as the creative project of Stephen Curran, guitarist of Cranky Face (Galway) and The Herd (Canada).
Before emigrating to Canada in 2019, Stephen performed extensively with Cranky Face, including appearances at major Irish festivals such as Body & Soul and Electric Picnic. After moving home to Donegal in Summer 2025, Build Trap serves as a means of re-establishing roots in the Irish music scene.
Drawing inspiration from artists like Pearl Jam, Jeff Buckley, Incubus, The Strokes, Foo Fighters, Kerbdog, Alice In Chains, IDLES, Little Green Cars, David Bowie, and The Beatles, Build Trap blends observational lyrics with a dynamic, guitar-driven sound.
The project made its debut with the single A Fool’s Spring in January 2025, with follow-up singles Lucid Living and Human Storage receiving airtime on local and independent stations around Ireland
Build Trap has now grown into a four-piece outfit comprised of established Donegal Musicians, with David Coyle, Jordan Hannigan and Conor Kelly joining in August 2025.
Neo-psychedelic shapeshifters DiG! weave fuzzed-out guitars, kaleidoscopic synths, and hypnotic grooves into soundscapes that feel both nostalgic and otherworldly. With several singles already stirring the underground and their second full-length album on the way, they’re carving a path through the cosmic fringe of modern music.
Lazember is the indie rock project of Donegal multi-instrumentalist Paul Rodgers.
Having previously toured internationally as guitarist with Mojo GoGo and performed as a session musician with Little Hours, he has appeared at festivals including Electric Picnic, Sea Sessions, T Vital, Other Voices, Live at Leeds, The Great Escape, and more across Ireland, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and North America.
With Lazember, Paul steps into his own voice for the first time, blending cinematic indie rock with coastal Irish melancholy, drawing inspiration from Kings of Leon, The War on Drugs, Sam Fender, and Bombay Bicycle Club.
Over the past year, he has been recording the debut Lazember album in Co. Donegal alongside producer Ziggy Van Wallendael (formerly of Belgian band Felix Pallas), while building a live show and a catalogue ready for the road.
