Build Our Village Lunch & Launch

Soteria London CIC is a social enterprise which promotes compassionate alternatives to coercive mental health treatment. At this event, we'll be launching 'Build Our Village', a new creative programme through which we'll explore how our communities can support us at times when our thoughts and emotions threaten to overwhelm us. 

The event will kick off with a free buffet lunch followed by a relaxed model village-making workshop. As we construct our village, we'll consider what our support communities look like now and what we'd like them to look like in the future. You can also learn more about the future workshops included in this programme.

We'll capture our collective vision with photos and written responses, meaning that you can take home your model buildings at the end of the session if you like.

The whole event will take place in the Conservatory at Lauderdale House. This is an airy, well-lit ground floor space often used for art and craft classes. You can read more about accessibility at Lauderdale House here. 

The crafting section of this workshop will involve using adhesives, so please bear this in mind when deciding what to wear. We're a really casual, friendly group so there's no need to dress up for any of our events (unless you want to, of course!).
