Build a Birdhouse

Join Untermyer Gardener and wildlife rehabilitator, Liz Dreeben, for a birdhouse building workshop and wild bird discussion at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, in the big room of the Cola Community Center.

Liz will lead a discussion about what to do if you find injured or orphaned wildlife. What should you do? Should you ever intervene? Who can you call with questions?

Then you'll use a birdhouse building kit to construct a beautiful and functional wren house. No prior woodworking experience is necessary - the kit includes all necessary materials and instructions. Liz will guide you through the construction process step-by-step and provide helpful tips and tricks to ensure that your birdhouse is both sturdy and attractive.

This workshop is suitable for adults as well as children over the age of five accompanied by an adult. We will be using screwdrivers and to put together a birdhouse.

Price includes all materials. PLEASE BRING A PHILLIPS HEAD SCREWDRIVER if you have one.
