BUILD A BEE HOTEL. On May 9, 2026, from 9:30 am to 12 noon, at the Phenow Pavillion in Central Park, Nina Gropp, with the City of Maple Grove and a Member of the Minnesota Green Corp, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Maple Grove, will present a program geared toward youth on pollinators in Minnesota, discuss the diversity of bees, how they pollinate, what plants they visit and how they nest. Youth participants will have the opportunity to build a “Bee Hotel” and add the nesting elements. Maintaining a Bee Hotel requires dedication to timely cleaning and maintenance that will be addressed in the workshop. Children must be accompanied by an adult, and one nesting box may be built per household. If time permits, we will take a walk around the Central Park pollinator garden.
