Since 1994, Tapa The World has served authentic Spanish tapas and wine—often accompanied by live guitar music—creating an atmosphere where anniversaries are celebrated, first dates turn into lifelong partnerships, and memories are made over shared plates and candlelight.
Executive Chef Marcos Murillo has been part of that story for more than 28 years. Rising from line cook to Sous Chef to Executive Chef in 2008, Marcos and his wife, Brooke Murillo, became the restaurant's owners in February 2020. Together, they continue its legacy while bringing fresh creativity and chef-driven passion to this Midtown Sacramento favorite.
