Together with Anni Wang from IKSU Beach Volleyball, the Buddy Programme is hosting Beach Volleyball Torunament, spring 2026. This is a Buddy Programme MUST!When: Sunday 3rd May 2026, 10:40-15:00
Where: IKSU, Las Palmas
Who: Everyone in the Buddy Programme, beginners to pros!
Cost: FREEE. IKSU are super nice and letting everyone in, regardless of whether you have a membership or not. Just go to the IKSU reception and let them know that you are in the Buddy Programme.
Bring: Water bottle, some FOOD, sport clothes, and a winning spirit! There’s no need for sport shoes. We will play barefoot in the sand.
We will meet at 10:40 to go through the rules and warm up. The first match starts at 11:00, NO LATER. Bring something to eat, we will have a break for a quick lunch. Remember that stores/restaurants may be closed on Sundays so make sure to prepp something beforehand.
You should create a team within your buddy group and appoint a team captain. Me and Anni need to know how many teams there are and who is playing on WEDNESDAY 29th APRIL at 12.00 the latest. We need this information to create the schedule for the tournament. The team captain should send me:
- The name of the team with group number in parentheses, example: “The best (group 6)”
- Who will be playing from your group - how many players you have.
- Contact info to the captain.
- Email me (don’t DM) at [email protected]
There should be minimum 4 players and maximum 6 players on the field. If your team is smaller than 4 players, we can merge you with another group. If your team is bigger than 6 players, we can split your team into two teams OR you can take turns to play. When your team is not playing, you will be referees!
Remember, we play for fun and to learn. You are most welcome to join even if you have never played before! You are welcome even if you can’t/don’t want to play – we need cheerleaders!
The rules and game schedule will be posted next week. For now, get your teams together :D
