Please note this event is only for children with a vision impairment and their immediate families. You must book a place to attend (free of charge).The Guide Dogs' Buddy Dog Team are delighted to invite children with a vision impairment to our special Buddy Dog Family Fun Day at our regional centre in Atherton!
On Thursday 10 April join for us either our morning or afternoon session to learn all about Guide Dogs and our Buddy Dogs service, meet staff and volunteers from various parts of the organisation, and learn some new skills.
It will be exciting fun-filled day, packed with activities! You’ll be able to take part in:
• Dog treat making
• Teach a guide dog a new trick
• Experience what it is like to follow a guide dog in their harness
• Talk to a guide dog owner
• Meet someone from our puppy team
• Arts and crafts activities, such as paw print painting
• Dog health advice.
There will be plenty of opportunities to socialise and for families to get to know one another throughout the day. If you have a buddy dog you are welcome to bring them along.
Drinks and small snacks will be available on the day.
