Buddhist course. Philosophy and meditation, examining the letting go of the ego. An exploration of Sunyata. 6 week course.
In this 6 week course (6 X 90 minute sessions) Andy Spragg - Sangha House Buddhist teacher - explores the Buddhist concept of Sunyata. Investigating the nature of 'self' and investigating, through contemplation and meditation, the concept that there is no intrinsic permanent self. Drawing on the Diamond Sutra, we find out why the holding on to 'self' or 'ego' is the root of our challenge in life. Through the letting go of 'self' we find a way through to contentment and deep compassion with life.
Andy's teaching style combines a light-hearted view with his deep knowledge of Buddhism gained through more than 30 years of practice.
The course can be accessed either physically at The Sangha House or virtually through zoom. Allowing you to join the course, where ever you are located.
Running at 6pm through to 7.30pm on the nights of Jan 15th, Jan 22nd, Jan 29th, Feb 5th, Feb 12th and Feb 19th.
There is a pre-requisite to the course. You need to have taken the Introduction to Buddhism and Meditation with Andy first, or have a good grounding in Buddhism and meditation.
