Buddhism has been increasing in popularity with the usage of modern technology and social media. Specially according to National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) in 2012, Buddhist meditation practices have been utilized daily by more than 20 million Americans regardless of their religious beliefs who utilize mindfulness practices in dealing with stress anxiety depression and others. Buddhists such as the Dalai Lama always advocates compassion and non-violence. These mindfulness practices compassion and nonviolent principles were taught by a person the Buddha.
