/// BUCK HILL 500’ SNOWMOBILE DRAG RACE - UPHILL ACTION
500 feet. Side-by-side. Straight uphill bragging rights.
led Head Racing presents the Buck Hill 500’! It’s Buck Hill’s first-ever uphill snowmobile drag race, and yes, it’s exactly as loud, fast, and ridiculous as it sounds.
On Saturday, March 28th , riders will line up at the base of the Cross Roads trail for a 500-foot, side-by-side sprint straight up the slope. No curves. No hiding. Just throttle control, traction, and nerves of steel. This is bracket-style racing with two guaranteed runs, plus a consolation bracket for round-one losses, because one rip up the hill is never enough.

/// SPECTATORS: WHERE THE ACTION MEETS THE ATMOSPHERE
Even if you don’t race, you absolutely want to be here. The Buck Hill 500’ is built for spectators, with side-by-side uphill runs that keep the action front and center all day long. You’ll feel the engines before you see them, hear the crowd before the finish line, and understand very quickly why uphill drag racing the most exciting motorsport on snow.
Need a break from the action? Buck ‘54 Bar & Grill will be open throughout the event, serving up delicious food, a wide range of crispy beverages, and some of the best deck views around. Grab a seat, watch the and enjoy the perfect mix of high-octane competition and laid-back lodge hangs.
Bring friends, bring family, bring ear protection, and plan to stay awhile. This is an inaugural event at Buck Hill, and it’s one you’ll want to say you witnessed from the very beginning.

IMPROVED TRAIL | 600cc, 800cc, 850+, & Turbo 2-Stroke / 4-Stroke
This is where everyday trail sleds get their moment to shine. These classes are built around real-world machines - full body, stock height, trail exhaust required, but tuned and prepped to charge uphill as hard as possible. The racing is tight, competitive, and incredibly relatable, because these are the sleds most riders actually own. Expect close finishes, smart launches, and plenty of “that could’ve gone either way” moments.
Improved Trail Class Details:
- Trophy for 1st, 2nd, and “Consolation” bracket winner
- Must be a TRAIL sled, stock height, full body machine, NO DRAG SLEDS
- Improved stock type rules. TRAIL EXHAUST REQUIRED! No traction limitations.
- Triples will jump 1 class up from cc (800 will run 850+)
- Tunes allowed in Turbo. Double Elimination
MOD NATURALLY ASPIRATED & MOD TURBO
This is where things start to get wild. Mod classes welcome lake racers and drag sleds with far fewer limits, meaning bigger power, more aggressive setups, and eye-opening uphill speed. These runs are loud, fast, and impossible to ignore. If you like watching sleds that look slightly unhinged (in the best way possible) this is your class.
Mod Naturally Aspirated & Mod Turbo Class Details:
- Trophy for 1st, 2nd, and “Consolation” bracket winner
- Any NA engine. Any turbo combination
- Lake racers and drag sleds. Double Elimination
KING OF THE HILL
Anything goes. One run. Winner takes all. King of the Hill is pure bragging rights with a 100% purse payback and zero forgiveness. The fastest, boldest sleds from any background line up for single-elimination glory. If there’s one class that defines the Buck Hill 500, this is it.
King of the Hill Class Details:
- Trophy for King of the Hill | 100% Purse Payback
- Anything goes. Single Elimination. (NO OUTLAW SLEDS)
