Bubble Soccer on the Beach

Long Beach, meet your new favorite way to fall down laughing on purpose.
If the World Cup has you itching to yell "GOOOOAL" while sprinting across the sand, I've got you. I'm partnering with Kimberly and her group, LB Edge, to bring Bubble Soccer to the sand next to Monty's. If you've never tried it, picture soccer, but everyone is wrapped in a giant inflatable bubble and bouncing off each other every few seconds. It's chaos in the best possible way, and you genuinely do not need to know how to play soccer to have a great time.

Date: Sunday, July 26
Arrival: 5:00 PM (get settled, learn how it works)
Play time: 5:30 to 7:30 PM

Cost to play: $28 per person, RSVP and pay in advance
Here's how it actually works. We'll have the bubbles for two hours, but nobody's in one the whole time. It's a serious workout, so we rotate players through in 5 to 15 minute stretches. You play a round, take a breather, grab some water, watch everyone else bounce off each other, then jump back in.
Beyond regular soccer, we'll throw in a few other games too, including Last Man Standing, which might end up being the highlight of the whole afternoon.
Not ready to play? Come watch. Spectators are free, no RSVP needed, just show up. We'll have separate wristbands for players and spectators so it's easy to tell who's who.
Snacks, water, and oranges will be on hand for players, plus music and two refs keeping the games moving. Once we're done, anyone up for extending the day is welcome to walk over to Monty's with us for food and drinks.

A couple things to know before you sign up. This is for adults 18 and up only, and while no soccer experience is needed, it is a physically demanding activity. Expect it to feel more intense than it looks.
Anyone you're bringing needs to RSVP under their own account.
