About this Event

Conference Information

We welcome all information security professionals, students, and enthusiasts to the twelfth annual BSidesAugusta! The Saturday conference will be held at the Georgia Cyber Innovation & Training Center (aka the Georgia Cyber Center) on Grace Hopper Lane in downtown Augusta!

The year's conference will host three tracks of mostly technical talks and at least one CTF upstairs, brought to you by our friends at Steelgate. There will also be a JAMBOREE workshop upstairs.

We're also working on an exciting keynote speaker and will publish details as soon as they are available.

Our friends at FoxPick will be back with a Lock Pick Village. Stop by and test your skills!

There will be sponsor tables, giveaways in the talks, a free raffle, and more! Those who register before October 9th will get a free t-shirt and Chick-fil-A lunch while tickets last.

Follow us on X (fka Twitter), Instagram, or LinkedIn and check out the October 24 speaker schedule.

Tiered General Admission Pricing

We are continuing the tiered pricing model for our General Admission tickets that we implemented last year. This approach helps us better prepare for the conference while rewarding those who register early.

Each ticket tier has the same benefits and includes access to the BSidesAugusta conference, a conference t-shirt, and lunch. There are a limited number of tickets in each tier, so the earlier you register, the more you save! (Or, if you are feeling generous, purchase a higher tier ticket to help support BSidesAugusta!)

Here's a breakdown of the ticket tiers:

Group 1: $35

Group 2: $40

Group 3: $45

Late Registration: $45 (T-shirt and Lunch not guaranteed)

Although we are ordering enough lunches and t-shirts for the max attendance at our venue, we cannot guarantee t-shirts or lunch for these late registration ticket holders.

We can't wait to see you there!

Augusta Cyber Week and BSidesAugusta Events

FAQs

Where will the training and conference be held?

Training classes (10/19-10/22) and the BSidesAugusta conference (10/24) will be held at the Georgia Cyber Innovation and Training Center, also known as the Georgia Cyber Center.

Is the conference appropriate for children?

BSidesAugusta is intended for industry professionals and enthusiasts. Children with a ticket are allowed and you may bring them at your own discretion. While most talks are relatively harmless, be aware that some may contain inappropriate content, particularly for young children. We don't rate talks for parents. Attendees will see several high school and college-aged attendees at the conference, and a few younger teens, but not many attendees under that age. For a deeper dive, check out our previous years' talks on the BSidesAugusta YouTube channel.

Will it cost me to bring my child or a guest to the conference?

Yes. As great as the venue is, it has a finite amount of space for attendees. Every attendee must have a ticket. Please don't put our volunteers in the awkward position of denying entry for your un-ticketed child or other guest.

Do I have to bring my ticket to the training and/or conference?

Yes, please bring your ticket as it's your admission to the event and you will need it at check-in. You can bring your printed ticket or use the Eventbrite app.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Each attendee needs to have their own ticket in their own name.

What are my TRANSPORT/PARKING options getting to the Georgia Cyber Center?

The training and conference venue is the Georgia Cyber Center, which is a short walk from the downtown conference hotels. Services such as Uber and Lyft are available for a fare. Check with your hotel for shuttle availability. If you are not staying at a nearby hotel, the most convenient way to get to the training venue is by car.

  • Cyber Center Parking Deck - Your ticket includes parking at the deck adjacent to the Georgia Cyber Center. The lift gates will be opened on conference day (October 24) through 6:30 PM. Park in any unreserved spot. After that time, parking fees may be assessed by the operators of the deck, and those fees will be the responsibility of the attendee.
  • If the Cyber Center Parking Deck is full, you will need use street parking or park at the Reynolds Street Deck, a few blocks away from the venue. Your ticket does NOT include parking in these or any unlisted locations.

Check out our parking map here.

If I register for any class during training week (10/19-10/22), do I need to buy a separate ticket to BSidesAugusta?

No! Registration for all classes listed above includes entry into BSidesAugusta and Security Onion Conference, as well as validated parking in the Georgia Cyber Center parking deck on your training day(s) and conference day(s). It also includes coffee and water service on your training day(s).

Does my ticket get me into Security Onion Conference on 10/24?

ONLY the TRAINING tickets include admission to Security Onion Conference. No other tickets sold on this site include admission to Security Onion Conference. Please check out Security Onion Conference's website to register for that outstanding conference!

What do I need to bring to the training?

See the individual class descriptions for prerequisites and items you need to bring to training.

What do I need to bring to the conference?

Bring a laptop if you plan to participate in the official CTF. Otherwise, just bring a good attitude and a desire to learn!

What is the refund policy?

Sorry, there are no refunds for the conference, except if the conference is canceled. If you buy a training ticket, you may request a refund until the registration deadline for the specific class. Requested refunds for training will be no more than the cost of the ticket minus Eventbrite fees (currently 6.6% + $1.79). If we refund you for training at your request, you will lose your BSidesAugusta and Security Onion Conference tickets as well. Contact us using "Contact the Organizer" to request a training ticket refund.

I registered for a General Admission ticket but now I want to attend one of the training classes (which all come with free admission). Can I be refunded for my ticket?

Yes. Contact us at [email protected].

Will there be a virtual option for the conference?

No. We plan to run the conference exclusively in person. We plan to publish talk videos after the conference.
