Join Yan for a serene and educational experience to learn the art of calligraphy and enjoy the therapeutic benefits of mindfulness.
Calligra-Therapy is a unique and inclusive art form that seamlessly blends the meditative practice of calligraphy with the therapeutic benefits of expressive creativity.
During this workshop, Yan, your instructor, will introduce you to the unique artistry of Chinese calligraphy. She will guide you through the rhythmic strokes of this expressive writing style, leading you to create a painting of Chinese characters or zodiac signs that unveils the rich layers of Chinese culture, where each stroke transcends mere symbolism; it becomes a breath, a movement, a moment of tranquility.
Whether you seek a serene conclusion to your week or a creative outlet for a peaceful mind, this experience provides both serenity and education—a gateway to mindfulness and an escape from the noise of everyday life.
All supplies are provided to participants, along with a delightful cup of milk tea to enjoy during the session.

About the artist: Yan's artistic journey traces back to her childhood in China. Born in the year of the rabbit according to Chinese astrology, Yan is known for her kind-hearted, sensitive, creative, and artistic nature. Raised in a harmonious and balanced family atmosphere, she was the only child, an enthusiastic learner with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, finding solace in painting her discoveries on paper. Today, Yan channels her unique upbringing into art that reflects creativity, cultural richness, and mindfulness. Her works invite you on a journey where each stroke tells a story, echoing the influences of her parents and the spirit of her rabbit self.
