FREE but advanced registration is required and space is limitedBrownie Wise Park is an excellent location in which one can bird many different habitats within a relatively small area. The park has a wooded section that follows the entrance road before transitioning to open marsh. The presence of many neighborhoods in the surrounding areas funnels migrating song birds into the available park habitat. We will meet at the parking lot on the peninsula, then bird both the marsh area as well as the entrance road. We will methodically walk and bird around the park carefully listening and looking out for various species of birds. We hope to see a wide variety of species, including warblers, wading birds, egrets, herons, raptors and possibly other migratory passerines like flycatchers, tanagers, and orioles.
Leaders: Lorri Lilja, Melissa Steinberg of Orange Audubon. Assisted by top notch young birder, Haden Klinger.
.
Loaner binoculars will be available.
The exact location will be provided upon registration.
