On Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 12PM, we're delighted to welcome back mezzo-soprano Kira McGirr, alongside collaborative pianist Susan Ellinger for a program celebrating the rich and often overlooked repertoire of women and LGBTQ composers. This concert features works by remarkable women composers Alma Mahler, Clara Schumann, and Cécile Chaminade, all gifted composers and brilliant pianists. The program also includes Home of the Brave by contemporary composer Ricky Ian Gordon, a reflection on identity and resilience.
