So many have been asking when is the next Cometry. So here it is!
About this Event
Cometry Nite is back.
Cometry started with Sahed and Emcee Del bringing two worlds together — comedy + poetry — and creating a stage where both could live in the same room.
This August, Lucky joins Sahed to host Brown Cometry Nite, a celebration of the artists, performers, and cultures around us.
Why Brown Cometry?
Because look around us. This is New York City.
We live among people with stories, jokes, poems, songs, languages, cultures, immigrant histories, neighborhood lore, heartbreak, ridiculous families, and things they've been waiting for an excuse to say into a microphone.
And we want to make room for that and celebrate the storytelling that exists within it.
For the next Cometrynite in Queens, we're bringing together brown stand-up comedians, poets, spoken word artists, musicians, friends, and a room full of people willing to listen.
Come laugh. Come listen. Come discover somebody. Come perform.
Or just spend a Tuesday evening with us.

Open Mic sign-up is open now.
Stand-up comedy. Spoken word. Poetry. Music. Something you wrote in your Notes app at 2 AM and have never said out loud.
Be brave!
You don't need to be a professional performer. Bring us something you've been working on, something you've never performed before, or something you think this room needs to hear.
And yes, there are prizes.

We're keeping the agenda simple:
7 PM — Doors + Open Mic Sign-Up
Opening — Lucky + Sahed welcome you to Cometry
Open Mic — A little bit of everything
Intermission — Eat, drink, mingle
Featured Performances — Comedy, spoken word + live music
Finale — Open Mic winners + closing out the nite
There may be a few surprises along the way. We’ll see where the night takes us.
📍 D’Antigua · Queens
We're back at D’Antigua Restaurant & Bar on Northern Boulevard in Queens — a restaurant, bar, and gathering space where we can settle in for the whole evening.
Come early. Get a table. Order dinner. Grab a drink. Bring a friend.
Talk to somebody. Meet an artist. Cheer loudly for the person doing their first Open Mic. Stay for the music.
We want it to feel like a casual night out in Queen, with a ton of cool people around!
There’s so much talent around us, especially here in NYC. Brown Cometry is our excuse to gather some of it in one room, this time near Jackson Heights, and celebrate the people making us laugh, think, feel, and listen.
