June 26 | Harrisonburg Conservation Assistance Program
Representatives from Harrisonburg Public Works will be discussing the Harrisonburg Conservation Assistance Program (HCAP), an initiative to improve storm water and promote the use of native species. Anna Maria Johnson, a Virginia Master Naturalist and president Shenandoah Chapter of the VA Native Plant Society, will walk guests through the new Flora of Virginia Mobile App and how to use it in your day-to-day life!
July 17 | Plants for Pollinators
Join us to hear and share stories about plants you know and pollinators you see at home and at the Edith J. Carrier Arboretum. Conversation will be hosted by Gail Napora, a Virginia Master Naturalist who has volunteered in educational events at the EJC Arboretum since 2007. A butterfly enthusiast, she has led the monarch tagging event for the Arboretum each year.
