From Minneapolis Minnesota, Brother Jon is rooted in Classic rock, country, and blues with a jam style of his own. These days, his solo project, along with the “Brother Jon Band”, are his main endeavors. You can expect to hear a mix of classic rock covers by artists like, the Georgia Satellites, ACDC, Puddle of Mud, Joe Cocker and Stevie Ray Vaughn, plus a few country tunes and some of his own.
Jon, along with his band, the “Brother Jon Band” have performed everywhere and have creds; they had legendary producer and engineer Jonathan Akre produce their 2nd album and were winners of the 2016 Famous Dave’s battle of the bands, voted “Best Album” by Duluth Minnesota’s 94x in 2017, a runner up in the 2018 “Road to Memphis competition” and in 2019, they were voted favorite band by the fans and KFAI Radio and Minnesota Music
Brother Jon keeps getting better moving through the trenches… playing locally, regionally and nationally at clubs and festivals. The bands notable stages include the Red Gorilla Festival in Austin Texas, Lowertown Blues Festival, Duluth Minnesota’s Homegrown Festival, and Northwoods Blues Festival.
