This year's honoree is the Very Rev. Joseph R. Gibino. He currently serves as the Vicar for Evangelization and Catechesis in the Diocese of Brooklyn. He is also the pastor at St. Charles Borromeo Church, the Administrator of St. James Cathedral, and the Director of the Diaconate Program and the Pilgrimage Office. These appointments have also allowed him to plan and execute many of the major spiritual programs and events in the Diocese of Brooklyn. He is a highly respected and beloved figure throughout the Diocese of Brooklyn, popularly known simply as Fr. Joe.
