About this Event
Join us for City of Forest Day at Brooklyn College! This interactive event combines
science, sustainability, and community. Help map and identify trees on campus as part
of our ongoing tree inventory project, then harvest fresh produce from the BC Eats
Garden to share with the community.
No prior experience needed — bring your curiosity! Open to students, faculty, staff, and
the public.

Introduction
Info: Meet at the main gate by the Tow Center for the Performing Arts (bring your ID)
Kick off the day with an introduction to City of Forest Day, the Brooklyn College Tree
Inventory, and the importance of urban forests.

Guided Tree Inventory Activity
Info: Learn to identify campus tree species, explore their ecological benefits, and practice
hands-on mapping using digital tools with expert guidance.

BC Eats Garden Harvest & Community Sharing
Info: Return to the BC Eats Garden for a recap and community harvest. Help gather produce
and share it with participants and neighbors.
