Brooklyn Cinema Forum | Maestro Month: City of Women

It's Maestro Month at Green Lung Studio's Brooklyn Cinema Forum, a DIY screening event studying great works of film followed by conversation.

This is a focus on a specific master filmmaker and two of their films made years apart from each other. To kick of 2025 we're going back to basics with the legendary Federico Fellini.

City of Women (1980) January 23rd 8PM

A surreal exploration of gender, power, and desire, directed by Federico Fellini. The film follows Snàporaz (Marcello Mastroianni), a middle-aged man who finds himself in a dreamlike city filled with powerful and enigmatic women. As he navigates this fantastical world, Snàporaz is confronted with his own anxieties about masculinity and relationships with women.
