The Brisbane Broncos will return to Toowoomba for the first time since February 2018 for a pre-season challenge match against the Gold Coast Titans on 16 February.
The Queensland Government’s Toowoomba Sports Ground will host a reinvigorated Broncos as veteran Ben Hunt returns to the team under the guidance of new coach, Michael McGuire.
Brisbane Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy said "We can't wait to return to rugby league heartland in Toowoomba at one of the best regional stadiums in Queensland and are thrilled to work with the State Government to make it happen.”
The collaboration between the Brisbane Broncos and the Queensland Government will see several community and fan engagement activities staged across the event weekend for locals to meet their sporting idols.
“It's an exciting opportunity for our full squad to connect with our members and fans in the region, and of course, take some of our homegrown talent back home,” said Dave Donaghy.
Tickets are selling fast for the pre-season game against the Gold Coast Titans on February 16 at Toowoomba Sports Ground.
Gates will open at 9AM with curtain raisers from the Western Clydesdales ahead of the main game at 2.30PM.
