About this Event
Broken Crayons Can Still Create Colour is an interactive theatre performance organised by CHAT – Centre of Excellence for Youth Mental Health, in collaboration with mental health professionals from the Early Psychosis Intervention Programme (EPIP).
It's 2026.
Nineteen-year-old Jamie begins to hear a voice—persuasive, and terrifyingly certain. It tells him he has discovered a cure for cancer. It tells him he is the saviour of humankind.
As Jamie’s grip on reality begins to shift, his devoted older sister, Jac, steps in, determined to protect him and understand the world he now inhabits. Together, they navigate a fragile line between belief and delusion, love and fear, hope and gradual healing.
But when voices echo, who can Jamie trust? The voice that gives him purpose—or the family begging him to let go?
This interactive theatre performance invites you to step inside Jamie's world, question the choices made, and explore how easily reality can unravel. Through interactive scenes and dialogues, audiences are invited to reflect, respond, and influence how the story unfolds. Your voice matters—because the outcome isn’t fixed.
A 30-minute facilitated dialogue with panelists and trained facilitators will follow after the performance on 28 Feb.
This is an adaptation of an interactive play featured in EPIP x SOAR's Broken Crayons Still Colour workshop.
