For almost 13 years, Broken Brass has been bringing unrivalled energy to the stage with their explosive mix of funk, Afrobeat and New Orleans jazz. What started as a fresh, quirky brass band in Friesland has grown into one of the most exhilarating live acts in Europe. So with their unique combination of tight horns, grooving percussion and a funky rhythm section, they are definitely going to make it a party at GROUNDS.With the upcoming release of their double album ‘Dancing Critters, Random Shivers & Snap Decisions’ (Jan. '26), Broken Brass gives a fresh twist to their lovely and familiar sound. After a decade of exploring the boundaries of brass music in all directions, they have arrived at an effervescent feel-good mix of Afrobeat, samba and jazz. Combined with years of playing together, the new sound is danceable, relaxed and full of energy, perfect for fans of both old-school brass bands and modern funky grooves.
