Broken Blackhawk Comedy Open Mic is a weekly stand-up comedy showcase celebrating new voices, seasoned comics, and the beautiful chaos that happens when people test jokes in front of a real audience.Every Wednesday night, the Laughenhaus inside The Blackhawk Room comes alive with sharp one-liners, strange stories, classic setups, experimental bits, and the occasional glorious trainwreck. Whether you’re a comedian working out new material or an audience member who loves live comedy in its rawest form, Broken Blackhawk is built to be welcoming, unpredictable, and fun.
On the 2nd Wednesday of every month, Broken Blackhawk features Theme Nights—special shows designed to challenge comedians and give the audience something fresh. These themes push performers out of their comfort zones with creative constraints, prompts, or concepts, resulting in riskier sets, surprising twists, and a distinctly different comedy experience each month.
The overall vibe is casual, supportive, and a little unhinged—in the best way. Broken Blackhawk is a space where comedy is allowed to be messy, bold, and in progress.
