Bristol Sessions Nights: Night 1

In 1927, a former railroad brakeman named Jimmie Rodgers walked into the Bristol sessions and cut two sides. He sang like a bluesman, yodeled like nobody before him, and pulled from every sound he'd picked up working the rails. They'd later call him the Father of Country Music. He was the first one to blur the lines.
We're spending the next year honoring that legacy.
Bristol Sessions Nights is a 12-night songwriter series running monthly through the 2027 centennial of the original Bristol Sessions. One stage. Real songwriters. The stories behind every song.
This is Night 3: The Blue Yodel. A blues-country fusion built around Jimmie Rodgers' legacy as the original genre-bender, connecting the early roots to modern grit.
